Andrew Peacock on Statcounter

According to Statcounter, a lot of people are coming to my Andrew Peacock post.

Does anyone out there know why?

Well, I'm sure a lot of people out there know why—especially the people who are visiting my Andrew Peacock post. But I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me why.

I do see one recent article about Peacock.  It's about someone named Susan Renouf and an advertisement that almost ruined Peacock's career.

I should probably read it. Maybe it will give me some clues.

Okay. Susan was the wife of Andrew Peacock. I probably wrote about that in my Andrew Peacock post. Unfortunately, I rarely remember what I've learned during my research posts.

What happened is Susan Peacock agreed to be in an ad for bedroom sheets.  I guess there was something a bit sensual about it, and certain people were outraged. Andrew Peacock was embarrassed.

This outrage is being compared to the recent outrage towards Tony Abbott honoring Prince Phillip.

The bedroom commercial kind of reminds me of an episode of Ugly Betty. Betty's sister was dating a politician (played by Ralph Macchio!) She did something sexy. I forgot what.

No. Wait. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong show. I'm thinking now that it actually happened on Desperate Housewives. Gabrielle was dating or engaged to a politician. She did something sexy, and he was embarrassed and mad about it.

Actually. Maybe it happened on both shows.

Speaking of Andrews...I vaguely remember ANOTHER Andrew mentioning the bedroom ad to me. Or did I dream that?   Either way, I'm not sure I knew it had anything to do with Andrew Peacock. Nor do I remember why he mentioned it to me.

  1. Yes, we did have a discussion about the sheet ad. Susan Rossiter/Peacock/Sangster/Renouf was featured in Australian Story, so I would guess that is the reason. While she is clearly a money person, she has a much better sense of humour than I thought.

  2. Andrew,

Good. I'm glad I remembered something correctly.
