I Totally Blame Australia Now

When we were in Manly in 2007, Jack broke his Crocs. We were able to fix them temporarily, but had to soon buy a new pair. That new pair lasted until we returned to Manly in 2009. We were getting off the ferry with our friends, and Jack's shoes broke. I had to rush off and buy Jack new Crocs.

On our way home from Australia, we stopped in Hawaii. Jack got his shoe stuck on an escalator. I had to frantically tug it out. It was a bit banged up, but still wearable. Despite the huge trauma, the shoes were fine. We did have to eventually buy new ones though because Jack finally went up a size.

So now we're in Hawaii. We should be shoe safe. The problem is we're here with Australians. We were in the Costco parking lot, and Jack's Crocs broke. I blamed it completely on our friends. It's totally their fault. But I forgive them because Tracey gave me valuable advice on how to fix the shoes. Tracey and Tim had gone for hours around town trying to find new Crocs for Jack and Tracey's daughter Tara. Unfortunately, Crocs aren't around as much anymore. So we were stuck with being creatively domestic until we find some alternative shoes.

Anyway, we're having an AMAZING time. I am so in love with our friends. We went to see the Lost beach camp the other day. I was thinking how I often cry while watching Lost. Now I'll probably cry more because I'll see the beach camp scenes, and remember how we were there with our friends...and some big sea turtles.

I think I love our friends because they're very weird...maybe almost as weird as us.

Here's an example. Yesterday, Tracey was on the Internet and asked me for the address of my blog. I told her I didn't know it. And that's true. I have it saved on my bookmarks, and if I'm not on my computer, I google it. She told me to turn around. Why? I'm wearing one of my new t-shirts, and the web address is written on the back. She plugged it in to her internet address thing. I was wondering why she needed to suddenly read my blog. It turns out she didn't. She wanted to get to my blog, because it had a link to her blog. I asked Tracey if she was going to do an update. It turns out she was not. She needed a recipe on her blog, so she could make us a Moroccan dinner. Is that not a crazy way to go about it? She's nuts. That's why I love the girl. Nuts have to hang out with other nuts. What if I didn't have my web address on my t-shirt? Would we have to eat Greek food instead?

In other news....last night I dreamed about William McMahon. He was showing me these videos about my future. I think he said I was going to have health issues, but maybe he said (perhaps wishful thinking) I could work to change that. I really wanted him to hurry up and finish with these videos. I was very impatient, because I had to pee. I woke up, and it turns out I had to pee in real life.

I'm going to post a few photos from our fabulous trip.

Our friends brought us a LOT of Australian food. I was very happy about that!

As we love exploring Australian grocery stores, our friends love exploring the American ones. Here Tim is showing how so many American products contain high fructose corn syrup.

This is me in front of one of the Lost sets.

Here are Jack and Tara acting nutty at a Macadamia Nut tourist attraction.

Well, I have a bunch more photos I want to share, but the internet here is going way too slow. Plus, Jack is waiting for his turn to use the Internet.

I'll try to post more photos later!
