I'm listening to this Children's Christian song by an Australian singer named Colin Buchanan.
It talks about annoying/bad things that can happen; then instructs kids to remember the Lord.
I think I get what the song is trying to say. If you're having a bad day, remember Jesus is there for you. You're not alone. God carries you on His shoulders.
All that.
But if I didn't know better I might think the song was saying that when things go bad, remember who's REALLY in control. Remember who the big boss is. Remember who you can blame.
It kind of cracks me up.

This is as dreadful as it is funny. A good rousing burst of "Victory is mine" would be more entertaining.

There were prayers, too, which conjured up such dark clouds of misery from which we should seek god's protection that they now serve as hilarious party pieces.
This Lord is too bland for words.

ReplyDeleteSince this Lord doesn't often make public appearances, his level of entertainment value is probably determined by the performances of mortals.
Some Lord stuff is bland, some is scary, and some stuff is pleasantly entertaining.
If indeed the Lord exists, I wonder if s/he finds this hilarious, irritating or worthy of a right good lightning strike??!!
