I need to take a break.
I'm a bit of a mess right now.
I have posted all the posts I've been working on this past week....so that should keep you guys busy for awhile. Just scroll below to find them...There's Judy Davis, Frank Brennan, Van Tuon Nguyen, Helen Reddy, and my favorite...Julian Burnside.
I'll still probably be around to respond to comments.
I'm just not up to researching and writing right now.
Sorry.

I hope you're okay, sweetie. Thinking of you and sending lots of love.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been commenting lately... I've been too involved in all my legal stuff to focus on much else. Will try to catch up while you're on hiatus.
xoxoxo
Hi Dina
ReplyDeleteI just bought a book by Julian Burnside and gave it to a lawyer friend. He is an OK person.
peace and love from someone who would rather be in D-FW
Hoping you are okay. Will be thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself xoxox
Fe: No need to apologize!!! I know you have a lot on your plate.
ReplyDeleteF.G Marshall-Stacks: I really liked what I read about him. DFW is really not that great, but I am glad the weather is nice right now.
M+B: Thank you : ) I'm pretty sure I'll be okay.
LOL even when you are a mess you are still such a considerate sweetie and thinking of others...definitely a good role model for me...hehe I figure I bear enough of the burden of being "a good person" for the most part :p
ReplyDeletep.s you're always welcome to my ear...if you want to unload. cheers matey.

ReplyDeleteI'll be waiting whenever you return (the beauty of using a feed reader). :)

ReplyDeleteThat is so incredibly sweet of you to say that. I have to admit though that I'm better at caring online then I am in real life. I mean not to say I don't/won't listen to a friend's problem. But I'd have my limits. I'm not sure I'd be good at handing someone who is chronically depressed. I KNOW I'm not good at handling people who are chronically negative. I start to lose my patience...which is rude.
That being said though...I think I can handle ALL people in real life in only small doses. It probably doesn't matter if they're happy, anxious, depressed, or negative. Eventually, I'll need my space from them.
Lightening: Thank you! I already kind of miss doing the posts, but I'm also enjoying my break. I really NEEDED this.
There's no sense in writing when you aren't in the mood. You have to feel it. Hope you feel it soon-- because it seems you love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dina, for what you do with this blog. You do good stuff here, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about this nation to which I belong. But I must say one thing...
ReplyDeleteDon't apologise for taking a break and not writing for a time. It's your blog: you post when do. You're not obliged in any way. Simple as that.
You do what you need to do, and when you return we'll all be here, ready to pick up reading where you left off.
:^)
Florida Girl in Sydney: Thank you. I do love it...SO much. I already miss it a little! But it's nice to get a break.
ReplyDeleteStephen: Your comment almost made me cry. And you've hit the nail on the head. I DO feel obligated. And not from anyone but myself. I have a very compulsive personality. I make rules for myself and have a hard time turning away from those rules.
On the other hand, I really love doing the posts. So the hiatus is definitely temporary, and will probably be short. Well, I guess a hiatus is temporary by definition. Otherwise, it would be called a cancellation.
Don't be sorry. I do understand the whole needing a break ..... I'm sure we all do!
ReplyDeleteTake care!
Hi Dina,
ReplyDeleteHope your alright and feeling better soon.
Stephen couldn't agree more, well said.
Take care Matt
Mr Spooky: Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMatt: Thank you. I really appreciate that.
:(
ReplyDeleteHope you are ok soon.
Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I go back and forth between being okay and not okay. I guess that's life, right?
Hoping all is well, and looking forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteJeff,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I appreciate that.
Dina, I hope the mess sorts itself out! You're indeed a sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteDeidre,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I really appreciate that. And I think you're VERY sweet as well.

Magikquilter,
ReplyDeleteThank you, and thank you for sticking by me through all this.
The world would be a much better place if more people were as kind and brave as you.
I'm going to start writing the posts again soon.
I mean to come back and say I hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI read you in my feed reader and I am glad to know you are okay because have been around commenting ;).
Have a good break all that researching must be mind boggling and hard work.
