I just finished watching the first season of Puberty Blues.
When I heard about the book in the past, I took it to be about mindless sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll nostalgia. Something I couldn't imagine myself relating to. And...I can't.
But actually...the TV show ended up being one of the most pro-feminist and female-empowering story I've seen. From what I learned today, the book is the same way.
I want to read it.
